Oh boy. Can't I just get in the groove and stay there? Eating, eating, watching the weight go up and trying but unable to manage more than one healthy meal before I'm off the plan-what-I-eat-and-eat-what-I-plan idea. :( Will keep trying. Got my annual blood work done and hoping even though I gained back some pounds that my cholesterol levels are down. Find out next week when I see the Doc.

The emergency gallbladder surgery meant I lost 7 pounds in a few days but it's been my job to keep eating healthy and not gain it back. And a month later, I'm still doing that. Yay! I even dropped another 2 pounds since. Yay again! Got back to exercise now that I'm healed up again.

I did the 5 day Nutrisystem jump start package I bought at the store and managed to stick with it. I didn't need junk food and I didn't feel overly hungry. All the snacks were fruit and protein. The portions of all but the fresh veggies and fruit I added were tiny. Eye opener. I ate more f/v than they said because it was for a 1200/day calorie, not enough for this body. After the 5 days I still tracked my food and while portions and ratio of meat and starches to fruit and veggies changed. Mostly I maintained, but felt a lot better and was starting to tweak the meal plan when the gall bladder attack came followed by--ok, to be continued. Super long journal entries don't help.
