I am 26 years old and my wedding is in November. While getting into my wedding dress is not my number one goal, it is a big incentive. My weight tends to fluctuate within 10 lbs depending on my diet and exercise. If I'm not dieting and exercising I tend to hover around 165 but once I'm committed and concentrate on my body and what I need to do to stay fit I tend to hover around 153-ish.

In my free time I spend time with my fiance, and our two new dogs. I also work at a local theatre and try to get to the gym a few times a week.

Looking for Buddies too!
I'm new to this site as well, but not really new to weight loss. While I don't have 100lbs to lose, I do know a thing or two about losing weight on your own. I really think frame of mind is the number one factor in losing weight and keeping it off. In 2004 I lost 30lbs just exercising and counting my calories; I thought that my body was not supposed to be lighter than 185lbs since that is what I had weighed for so long. It was when I got up to 195 that I realized I needed to make a change not only for my looks but for my health. So I lost the 30lbs I set as a goal and then a few years later I lost 10-15 more pounds.

The past year I have been fluctuating between 165 and 150 and would like to get back down to 150 because I am getting married in November, also I gave away all of my larger clothes and it's hell in the morning trying to button my pants right now. I haven't had the motivation lately and I heard about this so I thought it might inspire me more.

Last year I joined Weight Watchers and lost 12lbs and then when I quit I gained it all back, so I joined it again recently. It's definitly a program that works, but you have to be so diligent about tracking what you eat, but I know that's the key to success. When I originally lost the 30lbs I tracked everyday off the back of the food labels and made sure I was measuring portions correctly. I also never ate a roll with dinner unless I was having a sandwhich for lunch or dinner, because I too, am a CARBOHOLIC! I would choose bread over any food in the world. Anyway, that's my story for you in a nutshell.

Also, I worked at a camp in Maine one summer (Hidden Valley Camp in Freedom right near Belfast). It is one of the most gorgeous states I have ever been too, but I couldn't imagine how cold it gets up there in the winter though. I think I would wrap myself in pasta with a bread hat to stay warm Smile
