week two. way to be easier! i didn't believe the talk that week two got much easier, but it did! i feel like i have a grip on what i'm doing and also the temptations that come my way. i'm able to now take a step back and see what i was doing out of my love for food and what i was doing because it was there. these are good things!

in more data-oriented news, i have yet to weigh myself. i do not own a scale. i know myself too well and when i worked at a gym, my life was on that scale. i became more obsessed with the number than with my goal or even what i was doing to change the number i saw! so, no weigh in's for me ever. also i'm using an unmarked ribbon to keep my measurements and marking them on the door so that i focus on how i feel instead of how i compare to sizes. with all that said, i lost two-ish inches in the first five days!! the last two pairs of pants i've worn are also way bigger than they wore. YAY!

so my day eight verdict on the flush: a brutal mind of matter battle that is worth the pain and suffering of the first week.
