After about two weeks of falling off the wagon, I am back. The last week has been especially hard because of stomach issues. That's the thing about starting and restarting Keto that's so hard, but I'm not discouraged. Aside from the stomach aches, life has been good.

Sick with a cold and not really following my diet. I am trying to get back on the wagon and finding it hard. Mostly it is the feeling tired and crappy. Contemplating just calling it a wash until I feel better physically.

The scale said 185 then went to 186...almost 2lbs today. I think if I didn't weigh myself everyday I would be experiencing what people who do keto call a "wooshing" period when when the weight just seems to fall off. I didn't have this last year at all and it seemed so frustrating. I hope to keep it up. I know it could possibly take months, but I hope to actually become keto adapted.
My sister and my nephews and niece are evacuating here from Charleston for the storm. It will be good to see the nephews. We can do science experiments and cool stuff together maybe build those mini catapults. The niece is still a baby so, there isn't much we can do together. The boyfriend is headed into SC for his dad's back surgery. I am hoping it all goes well. I wish I could go with him, but I have to work.

Feels good to finally have my car back. I'm getting out of what has been just a self imposed funk. The scale is moving and I am happy about that too. I am wrestling with should I or shouldn't I bake a cake for my birthday next Thursday. I typically have a small gathering of friends and family and there is usually cake. If I have a slice it will kick me out of ketosis. I have contemplated just baking one for them and not having a slice.
