7:17 P.M. though I've listed only two meals here, I've eaten throughout the day at, say 2-3 hour intervals. The next time I make one of those bean and grain salads I'll add some, I'm thinking, salmon steamed in soy sauce, ginger, garlic, etc. I think the lack of protein and good fats had me a bit on edge towards eating something not on my plan...
I feel a sense of amazement: when I was coming out of 300lbs, I had a recommended 2100 daily calorie intake. I adjusted to it and that, for a while, became my norm, my benchmark. I thought it was tough, meagre, stingy when I began and then adjusted. Now with my nutritionist recommending 1900 calories and me agreeing ot it, I look at how today I've consumed less calories than that and I am well; full, not needing "a little desert to top it off".
Oh! How we humans can adjust and adapt!!

Tomorrow, I'll be out of the house for most of the day. I know eating out is a weakness *SO* I've made a refrigerator yogurt, oats, flax meal, almond milk, blueberry pudding to take with me. I just made a red miso, ginger, yogurt dressing to go with a roasted leeks, farro, red bean, and spinach bowl/salad that I'll take also. My intention is to pursue my goals even away from the dietary safe harbor of my kitchen. We'll see.

So...I got perspective: when I was 1 Cheetos away from 300lb I recorded, weighed, measured my meals, journaled, joined a community, got down to 198. So, now I'm here to reduce cholesterol from 221 down to...I don't know, something below 180.
I feel encouraged and want everybody here on their own journey to be encouraged. I know I don't control people, places, or things. I know that I can do the next right thing and let go.
I wonder, I hope for, I think I can at 62, get a six-pack.
I wonder when I will reintroduce weight training into my efforts herein...

Must make the fiber rich, oats based breakfast smoothie a 6-7 day habit. When I split that into two meals I feel fuller and not as tempted. It's my best way to get more than 35g of fiber in my system daily. I bought pearled farro today. I'm reading up on grain bowls, grain veggie bowls.
