this journal entry is for 5/31. So the traffic on the LIE was severe, even as late as 7:30 pm so I pulled off and sat at the counter at Brother's Pizza and had lasagna. Where I should have stopped - was not eating the half loaf of italian bread, or whatever you consider the portion size, with two tabs of salted butter. But still, 1600 calories for the day isn't bad.
this journal entry is for 6/2: i know. i know. i shouldn't have had the ice cream cone on sunday and i killed it at dinner - shouldn't have had a cream sauce and shouldn't have had 3 rolls and certainly shouldn't have had escargot swimming in butter.

well i forgot to add the glass of rose on the 29th with dinner but that didn't really add that much.
Last night I went over 372 and 390 was solely due to me eating 3 servings of pirate booty while I walked Poochie. The cookies didn't even put me over. I need to do a better job of sticking to the serving size. It's so hard!

as annoying and time consuming it is to write down what you eat it is the only way to lose weight. it forces me to really focus on what i eat. ugh. so i am going to try once again to do this every day and get past 3 weeks of doing this religiously. wish me luck
so yesterday was my first day. i blew it when i went grocery shopping and bought a half a pound of cookies and snow pea crisps. i ate two small cookies on the way home and a serving of crisps. if it wasn't for that i would have made my calories for the day. i think i exceeded by 121. small steps. i'm happy with how much bread and processed foods that i've cut out so far. more to go.
