I am a stay at home mommy of 2. My son (Mason) is 3 and my daughter (Kayleigh Jo) is 5 and in 5k. I am working on exercising more, quitting smoking, and a high protein diet. I am too scared to try calorie counting diets anymore due to all previous attempts lead to me relapsing with my eating disorder. I am 27 years old, and I prefer to play video games than work out lol. Um I have BPD (borderline personality disorder) and in the past it has often aided in issues with dieting and such, but I am no longer medicated and learning how to cope with the mental side of the disorder and it's hard but it's going great and I have high hopes this time that I will be able to stick to this thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I am always open to making friends in the community!

Rewards to keep me motivated:
265- 4 pairs of pants from Goodwill (mostly because I will be needing new pants but
still losing weight and don't want to spend too much money when I will need new
ones soon.
250- Fitbit Charge 2

220- Donate all of my clothes and give myself $100 to buy new ones.

200- A meal wherever I want.
No point in adding anymore until I reach 200.

Homemade wraps?

The water weight you shed doing that will be very temporary. They don't cause fat loss.

Ah ok, thank you!

Homemade wraps?

What are you trying to lose - fat or weight? If you want to lose water weight there are cheaper and easier ways to get dehydrated.
Water weight doesn't actually bother me, mostly I was thinking of because I read it makes you sweat much more in the areas.

Homemade wraps?
I've tried one time seran wrap around my core, thighs and arms with stuff that was recommended to go under it and ace wraps to help with weight loss during intense workouts (mostly cardio) after the wrap fad came about and I realized how expensive they were so I looked up how to do homemade ones. The last time I did dieting and exercise and gave up I tried to use it once and it drove me crazy lol. Was mostly annoying, so I was wondering if any of you have ever used homemade ones and if it actually made a difference in the results or if I should just forget the whole thing.

Bad arm and can't do push ups

Do you have a doctor you might ask? Also if you do a web search for "alternative to push ups bad wrists" and you can find a ton of ideas. Good luck! I don't think you should be doing the pushups if they hurt your surgical sites!

And the push ups aren't that important if you are watching your nutrition and doing cardio while you lose the weight

I do not but I have no issue going to find one. Yeah after I made the post I've been trying to look up decent exercises that can cut out push ups for now. I agree with you, if it's causing it that much pain I can't do it, worried I could make past injuries worse.

Bad arm and can't do push ups

Oh dear. Have you talked to a physical therapist? I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it took me a long time to be able to do floor push ups (and I can only do those by modifying so I'm pushing up from my knees). I started by doing wall push ups, graduated to table push ups, then stair push ups. Sometimes my wrists hurt so bad I just go back to an easier version. Effort and keeping good form is what's most important. In any case, I would talk to your doctor's office and/or a PT about what exercises you CAN do right now. Hope you get stronger and have less pain! Smile
No, I only talked to one when my muscles in my forearm were twisting (same arm). I actually don't have a doctor currently, I never get sick. But I will look into seeing a doctor about it. Thank you!
