Male 50's.
Started working out 8 months ago at the local gym five days a week at 7 a.m. to lose weight and get back in shape. Previously have been in outstanding shape 10 years ago.
Slowly began......
30 minutes on the treadmill...could only walk it. Now, jog 4 miles in 40 min. i.e. 10 min miles.
At 6 months started working out with weights twice a week besides jogging. Had Personal Trainer give me a workout routine for those two days.
At 7 months increased workout.
- jog on MWF about 4.3 miles in 43 min.
- Elliptical machine on T&Th for 30 min - 3.0 miles.
Eating - Key is portion control Mon-Friday. On Friday and Saturday night eat whatever I want. Back to portion control on Sunday.
Low carbs and lots of protein - increased food intake to much more meat/protein when started lifting. Now drinking Almond Milk/Whey Protein twice a day.
Current weight loss - 80+ pounds. Yep, I was fat. LOL
