Weight was up a bit higher in the intervening days, but I have been doing well with my diet and activity level. I just reached a new level in my climbing performance, and am hoping to combine that with a little more progress in terms of diet. The key is that I must resist more of my daughter's delicious baking projects, that and the tempting IPAs from our local brewery.

My progress was temporarily blocked by the ginger snap cookies that my daughter baked last weekend. Back on track!

Well, the post soccer jump is fading away and I am seeing the progress that I anticipated to see. I guess that I might get down another half pound or so in the coming 3 days, before bumping up again after soccer.
The most exciting aspect of my recent progress is the awareness of what is happening with my diet, exercise, and therefore weight change that has come from being much more diligent about counting calories and exercise over the last 17 days.
I not only have much more control over the whole process but a better understanding of what I do and what results from that. I am sure there will be deviations and new surprises in the future, but I have much more confidence that I will be able to achieve my goals. Having good record keeping has been the key for my sense of understanding.
