Same as yesterday, but this peak is higher than last week's, and I expect to see some new progress as the week goes on, with a low of about mid 162. We will see!

Monday is my post aerobic exercise bounce day. I run intensely for an hour on Saturdays during competitive soccer, and invariably, about 48 hours later my weight has increased a bit. Physiologically this makes sense as a response of producing and storing extra glycogen in the legs and other running related muscles- to be ready for such intense activity. Then I avoid running during the remainder of the week and, I assume, the extra dwindles. Anyways, the high water mark today, is just 163.8, which suggests that if this week proceeds as last week did then I should get down to the mid 162's later in the week. My rebound high was much higher last week.

I weighed 163.4 yesterday morning and 163.2 today. I don't have as many social obligations this weekend so I am hoping that my only increase from the weekend will be due to the sudden increase in running during my Saturday soccer match. I was hoping to get a glimpse of 162 this week-- and that may well come on the weekend. One challenge that I confront right now is the desire to maintain or even increase my strength for climbing while losing weight, so I need to get just the right level of calorie deficit while keeping a high level of protein. So far it is going well- I still am not tired of my tuna lunches and my protein shakes.

This weekend included both more running and more deviation from the diet in terms of both food and beverages. However, I still stayed close to the targets, and I am close to where I was last weigh-in. If I can assume that today will be a good day for both food and exercise, I think I will see some progress by Friday.

I did pretty well yesterday in terms of calories at just under 2000, although I was aiming for closer to 1800. However, I had one beer, at 200 calories, so that was the difference. However, I was very active yesterday including a dog walking, yard work, lifting, and rock climbing. Today is a rest day from climbing and lifting, so it will be trickier to get to an elevated exercise rate, plus there is a bottle release party at our local brewery and I am stopping in to taste a flight of rare beers on tap. hopefully soccer on saturday and climbing/hiking on sunday will offset my friday.
