SHAKEOLOGY CHALLENGE!
This week, I'm doing a weight loss challenge that someone else planned up. It's a Shakeology challenge where we have a Shakeology shake each day and work out at least one time per day. I first thought that it would be whatever...I'd do it and probably not get any results. I drink this stuff every day anyways and love it but have sort of been slacking on the workouts lately so the pounds weren't coming off a whole lot. BUT I WAS WRONG! I'm crushing this challenge! I am not weighing myself until the week is over but my clothes are getting baggier and I"m feeling SO much more energized each and every day! I've seen so many results this week just looking leaner and more toned also! I'm thinking I may plan a similar challenge to this as well! To my regular fitness challenge girls-hope you are ready! THE FORGOTTEN BENEFITS OF WORKOUTS
Yesterday, I spent over four hours sitting in a swivel chair taking my PRAXIS (Teacher Certification) Test. By the end of it, I was starving, irritated, slightly depressed, and was getting a headache. My friend, who also took the test, and I went out to get some food afterwards but even that didn't help my mood. I got home and was just lying around watching TV. I felt like crap and was considering just going to bed since I was feeling so incredibly crappy. Then, my new workout buddy texted me and asked if I wanted to go workout at Lifetime. I really didn't want to but had cancelled on her the day before already so I sucked it up and headed out the door. As soon as I got on the machines, heart pumping, music blaring, and sweat dripping from my face, I forgot how horrible I felt. I forgot I had a headache or that I was all stiff or that I was really crabby. The workout was a blast and when I left, I was energized, awake, and feeling AMAZING. My headache was COMPLETELY gone. Normally my headaches end up making me naseous and I go to sleep to avoid throwing up so that's no small feat. It just really reminded me how much just a simple workout can help!

WORKIN HARD OR HARDLY WORKING
So one of my pet peeves is people who just don't think. I think most people know that, in order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you take in. Not too difficult of a concept. So if you are going out every night, drinking a lot, and eating TONS of unneeded calories without working out, what do you think is going to happen? If you are eating more than you are burning, you ARE going to gain weight. The people who do this and then complain all the time about all the weight that they gain and they don't know WHY they are gaining weight...are you seriously that naive? If you want to lose the weight, do the work. It's that simple.

SHAKEOLOGY!
So you may or may not have heard about this product before but if you haven't, you need to! I can honestly say this may be the greatest stuff ever. Okay, I am a little biased I suppose since I am addicted to it but for real, I've tried it all and nothing compares. First off, I HATE protein shakes. I think they are disgusting and I can't stand how they smell, look, taste, and the way I feel after I drink them. This is totally different. Shakeology is a meal replacement shake. I belive they say you are supposed to have that for what would otherwise be your worst meal of the day. Typically for me, that's dinner because I am always on the go. I actually don't have mine for dinner most of the time because breakfast, which is supposed to be your most important meal of the day, is something I HATE. I can't stand eating in the morning. Doing so makes me naseous and I'm never hungry so why eat, right? Well it's horrible for your body not to eat so instead I have a milkshake for breakfast...I mean my Shakeology. I like my chocolate Shakeology mixed with ice, water, and a little bit of peanut butter. SOOO yummy and super healthy all at the same time!
Also, I'm a college student so I don't have tons of cash lying around to spend on food, especially not on fruits and vegetables which are SO expensive. Shakeology contains all of that. I believe their phrase is that it's like taking five trips to the salad bar...except it's only about 140 calories per serving soo not quite as detrimental to the diet as those multi-trip salad bars.
I know this sounds like an infomercial but I LOVE this stuff. Just in the last week, I drank a Shakeology shake for breakfast everyday, worked out twice last week and lost three pounds. It was pretty sweet! If you'd like more information about Shakeology, let me know!! jado427@yahoo.com
