Cooking Salmon
Try this: Wrap a 4 ounce piece of Salmon seasoned with a little kosher salt and pepper with a piece of proscuitto. Place in an oven safe dish and cook for 20 minutes at 350° F. Drizzle with Chimichurri sauce. Goes fantastic with a green salad and other strong flavors like radish salad or pickled daikon.
My recipe for smoked chimichurri link below.

Where are the Moderators, and we need and edit capability for recipe submissions
Since I have joined here about 3-4 weeks ago, as of this post, I have added several recipes. All are still "Awaiting Approval". I have shared them with the community and hope Atkins dieters are going to utilize them, however I appreciate that I can add my recipes to garner the proper nutritional information for my own diet tracking purposes. I have observed that there is no edit button for fixing errors, but there is a way to edit photos.
Being a perfectionist, getting the information correct is important to me. I also expect to see a site moderator approving my recipes in a reasonable amount of time, but I haven't observed what they think is reasonable. My recipes are genuine originals or authentic cuisines that utilize a lot of my culinary research and devotion. If moderation would like me to participate further, they need to foster it with an interactive approach.
I think we all appreciate a little ego massage, and promoting new and current efforts by folks who gather here for support is important. The absence of moderators feels cold - like this site is autonomous. I don't want to draw any conclusions, but having been on many social media sites, I feel this place is missing it's mark on how to keep it's patronage engaged.
At the very least, I expect moderators to recognize the time and effort that their patronage gives to support themselves, ourselves as a community, and this site. I have not observed this behavior as of yet.
I would appreciate fellow site members to comment on this and maybe fill me in on what I or somebody else may be missing. Thank you with kind regards, T. Fargo

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
First thing in the morning (or after waking up for the night shifters out there), after excretion. That's the most convenient and accurate time to weigh in.

Cook Book Submission approval
Thanks for being the first to reply Ingria. I like the idea of putting them in my journal. I'll have to give that a try.

Okay everyone, how do you say NO to ice cream and cake at birthday parties! That's my weakness and I had a big piece of cake and ice cream today and now I feel like crap and my stomach hurts! What's this fasting that everyone is talking about?

I'm following a low carb / high protein diet and feel your frustration. If someone were to drop an open bag of Lifesavers Gummies in front of me, let's just say

RESIST!!!
They are my kryptonite, like your temptation of cake and icecream. My suggestion is for you to pay attention to how it makes you feel on an emotional level while you indulge. You are obviously aware of how it made you feel physiologically afterwards, and part of my empathy for your temptation leads me to believe that you felt emotional pain or guilt while consuming. Sweets have a powerful effect: Excerpt from cite;
Quote:
Eating sugar artificially stimulates a region of your brain called the nucleus accumbens to produce dopamine, the pleasure neurotransmitter. Soon, dopamine levels drop, and we start to feel “flat”... or a bit “down." We crave this pleasant, feel-good feeling again — so sugar leads to addiction.
