I just thought of something that made me feel really optimistic-
To all the people who have hit a plateau in their weight loss journey-
You know how, when you start a weight loss program, you always lose weight really fast in the beginning? Granted, it's not actual fat that is lost, but mostly water weight, so a lot of people don't count it. However, I realized that it's almost like your body's giving you a mini pep-talk right before a "marathon". Like, "Okay, we're going to go through a rough period, so here's eight or so extra pounds in the beginning to get you pumped up and ready to go!"
I'm worried that when I hit MY plateau, I won't be able to overcome it and I'll just stay right above my goal weight for the rest of my life, but that thought changed my perspective on my worries. After today, I feel more ready for when (hopefully, IF) my plateau occurs, because I'll view it more as a challenge than a setback.
I hope this inspired some of those who are reading!
