I expected better A1C results. In November it was 9.2, they started me on Metformin 500mg (I had quit taking it due to digestive issues). February I was down to an A1C of 7.9, they doubled the Metformin to 1000 mg, now my A1C is 9.5. It. went. up.
:(
I'm irritated and frustrated by it all. I know they will want to double my Metformin again. I'm scared they will add other drugs that always seem to make things worse, or even worse add insulin. I NEED to stay on keto, OMAD and intermittent fasting.
I have to make this work, I simply have to. I want to be here a long time for my family. I want to take my kids to Disney with their kids. I want to travel, and learn to love life instead of just trudging through it doing what I feel like I have to do to meet everyone's expectations, make everyone happy and take care of everyone else.

I went pretty much free style this holiday weekend. Eating whatever I want and by Sunday I was feeling it. Run down, squeezing, cramping pain in my chest/back/left side. I thought it might be a heart attack, but now I'm thinking more likely it was a anxiety attack, but I wasn't really worried about anything, so I think it was a food induced anxiety attack. Too much sugar and carbs in too short of a time, after really a month of being relatively cautious of my carb/sugar intake.
Mistakes will be made, will power will be weak and I will nip it in the bud and get back on track. Today I'm going to stay very low carb/low calorie and try to drink as much water as possible to flush out all the toxins.
