Well it's been almost a week on OMAD and I am feeling pretty positive. The first 3 days were rough I was starving the first day and kind of run down the next two. The last three have been okay. I have been a bit worn out but that could just be not getting enough sleep. I was worried about today that I wouldn't be able to stick to one meal but I did. I went over my calories but I feel like that is okay since I was under calories for a few days. I noticed I wasn't hungry today that was a plus. I feel cleaner and lighter. I feel calmer and clear minded. I also feel like when I do eat I feel like my body uses the food better and I appreciate the food more. A few other benefits, I'm not spending as much on food, not spending so much time thinking about food, or planning meals. I feel like I can keep going!

Okay here we are Friday... finally! Normally I would 'treat' myself since it's Friday and I made it through the work week without going bananas - at least officially, noticeably or document-ably bananas. I'd go through a drive-thru; McDonalds, or Whataburger get a breakfast sandwich AND a burrito/taquito (because I can't decide which I want). But I didn't. I'm calling that a win, it may be a small win but it's a win. The urge to reward myself with crappy food is strong and I won this time.

I'm drinking my ACV water. I'll probably go down to the café for a cold brew coffee and put some chocolate stevia in it when my friend gets to work.

Looking forward to the weekend, I don't have to work so I feel like a huge weight is off my shoulders. I HATE working weekends. It's bad enough to work 45 up to 50+ hours a week (I know a lot of people have it worse and I should be grateful) but I need at least a couple days just to keep up with house, home and yard stuff and dang, it would be nice if I could chill and watch TV for a minute. My DVR is full of shows I never watch anymore. Maybe that's a good thing? Also, I have tennis elbow which I feel should be renamed to "too much time at a computer elbow" but I guess tennis elbow is catchier and quicker to say. So I need the weekend just to get off the computer and rest it.

The downside of the weekend is it is going to be a test of if I can stay on OMAD and not give into the temptation of eating throughout the day. I'm trying to set up a dinner outing for Saturday night so I have something to look forward to, so that I can bribe myself not to eat during the day. We will see how it goes!
