Wow...what a week! Started out purposely SMASH-horrible, but delightfully fun!
My son's birthday on Sunday (with cake AND the all-u-can-eat buffet...Mmmm), then my wedding anniversary on Tuesday (with good eats and yes, alcohol***Hiccup***), and of course a "WTH-go-ahead-and-eat-pizza" day in-between the celebrations (on Monday).
On Wednesday, I decided to do Phase 1 again, but with coffee added. Did a couple of days of that before I broke down and had a bowl of Shredded Wheat at 2am (Shhhh...don't tell anybody)!
I managed to force a 30min treadmill walk on Thursday & Friday. Okay, okay, it was more like a crawl, but it was 30mins! Wanted to push a 'last chance workout' yesterday, but couldn't find the motivation...was just one of those days. Wasn't looking forward to my weigh-in this morning, but braved it just to get it over with. To my pleasant and un-earned surprise, I had a weight loss! Thank goodness the scale was forgiving!
Today, I'm going to stop pretending that I'm on Phase 1 and just pick up on Phase 2---where I left off last Saturday before my son's birthday. Besides, I doubt that I'd ever be able to pull off another week like this past week without a Got-Cha-Back weight gain. Honestly, I'm too excited to even Think about trying it! I'm going to enjoy this day and celebrate by working out! I'm determined to keep going in the right direction.
Next Friday marks 4wks that I've been doing the FSD. I'm so glad I found this website. I couldn't have made it this far without the extra support and motivation from you guys. Thank you soooo much!
HAPPY Sunday and HAPPY SMASHING!!!

Well, between Christopher's birthday on Sunday and my Anniversary yesterday, I really blew it. I not only fell off the wagon...I allowed the wagon to run me over...twice!
I've decided to do Phase 1 again, starting today thru the end of this month (9 days) so I can get back on track. It won't be a total Detox because I refuse to give up my coffee again, but I want to make sure I'm giving this Plan and my body a fair chance by doing things 'somewhat' right.
Hopefully, my next weigh-in will be as forgiving as I am!

Feeling really good about my progress. Feeling and seeing results (inspite of it being my T.O.M. and all that THAT entails). LOL
Today's my son's 19th birthday! He and my family are so sweet & supportive. He was actually going to by-pass his birthday celebration dinner so that I wouldn't be tempted to "cheat". He said he doesn't want me to feel "tortured". I told him I could Never feel tortured while in his company...no matter What's going on!
I thanked him for his thoughtfulness, then insisted that we proceed with tradition! So, my family and I are going out for dinner (the first time since I started FSD) and I'm going to enjoy every single second of it...right along with him!
I'll make wise choices (I've come too far to over-endulge), enjoy our time together as we celebrate his Special day, and work it off in the morning!
:o)

In an attempt to finish off the Easter eggs, I tried something different for breakfast this morning. I pealed & rinsed 2 eggs, sliced them in half (Deviled Egg style), and removed the yolk. Then I filled each half with a little Hummus and sprinkled them with ground black pepper. They were delicious!
I'm definitely going to do this the next time I'm entertaining or have the 'Girls' over. As you can imagine, they look just like Deviled Eggs, but a healthier choice and soooo good!

Happy Easter and Whoo-Hoooo!!! Today is Day 10 Phase 2. I'm so happy that I was able to stick with the Plan...it's been a long time since I've been able to say that about
Any
plan. So far, I've lost 8 lbs & 6 and a half inches!!! I'm absolutely Thrilled about my progress, but for the 1st time, I'm even More excited about being on the road to better health!
During those 9 Days, I tried new and surprisingly tasty foods and recipes. Until now, I've only had black beans in a salad and hadn't noticed their particular flavor (they taste like black-eye peas to me). I discovered Hummus...which is Yummus! Shreds-brand shredded mozzarella "cheese alternative" is now my "dairy-like" best friend. And I've enjoyed the flavor & power of various spice combinations!!!
Though I'm still "exercise-challenged" (I only managed to do a total of 90 mins versus the recommended 150), I'm marking today as my 1st day of sticking with the exercise portion of the Plan. I know it'll make me feel better and will produce more profound results!
Diet effort...In the words of the late, great godfather of Soul..."I Feel Good"!!! This is me....{{{{dancing}}}}
Exercise effort...I'm going to eat that proverbial elephant one bite at a time.
BTW: The elephant is low-fat, no-salt, fiber-enriched!
