I am 32 and weigh 220-230lbs for the last few years. I have reduced about 20lbs *twice* in the last 3 years - 2004 and 2006 but have managed to get it back to my "stable" weight.

At 6'3" I can afford to be okay at around 180lbs which is my target this time around (AND stay there too!!)

I work a sedantry life as a manager in Bangalore, India. And yes I have started going to the gym atleast 4times a week this time around.

Helloh! I'm from Bangalore, India. I work in - what else but software Smile
I am 32 and am married and expecting our first child in a few weeks. Hopefully the new entrant to our family doesn't make my diet/exercise go for a toss.

Working out before eating?
You can also try having some glucose water during your work-out. That way you can start on an empty stomach but when you sweat, loose energy you have instant glucose which will give you the energy to work out.

Not able to reduce even a pound
Just an update - I checked my measurements now and 2 months back. Good news is I have lost on Fat %, gained in Muscle Mass.
However it shows my water resistance has gone up by 3 kilos. Though my personal trainer is a great guy for the exercises he is bad in explaining things to me. What does it mean to have a great water resistance? Is it good your body has more water or is it bad?

Ice Cream
I have realized anything with "lite" "sugar-free" "fat-free" is a scam. You eat and you get calories. Period.

However if you do want to indulge (once in a while) try going for an Italian Gelato Ice-cream instead. At about 120-150 calories its not so bad:

Working out before eating?
I am sure a cup of coffee doesn't hurt. But if you are planning on a strenous workout session (upwards of 600-700 kcal) then it makes sense to have something.
Just FYI - I play tennis from 7:30-8:30am and have either cup of coffee or a small bowl of cornflakes at about 7.
