*** Kickin' it! *** I feel great. Yesterday after work I went shopping for things I needed. My normal M/O is to grab something unhealthy on my way home and eat it at home with my kids at their Dad's and my husband working. I was not even hungry. I got home after 8pm and had two pieces of toast (low-carb, of course).
Sunday at 7pm I asked my 4 boys if they wanted to walk to the playground and kick the soccer ball around. Granted, they ran more than I, however we had a full 15-20 minutes of me kicking penalties at them which was great for my legs. So even if I'm just kickin it (the soccer ball) with my boys, I am out there and moving! I love my new lifestyle.
ps-my jeans are getting big!

I am down....a little over 13lbs since I started. I am most pleased and feel like I am finally getting the hang of this. I exercise more and am trying to drink more water but that is becoming increasingly difficult. Any suggestions?

What I've lost. I've lost 9lbs since I started weighing myself with my new scale. I refuse to put the weight on this site until I catch up to my 260 that I thought I was at the beginning as I do NOT want it to appear as if I've gained weight during my weight loss.

Energy!
I just started my diet last monday (5/9/11) and already I feel like I have more energy. This is very exciting to me. Because rather than dreading the trips up and and down the stairs, I actually look at it as an opportunity to move!
Also, does anyone know if taking a memory supplement will help. I'm a very sharp thinker and I can make a mental list of items I must not forget at the grocery store for example. I find that even if I only need two things, I forget very easily now. Is this because carbs are brain food?

Frustration! My scale broke as you may have read in my previous journal. I started this without really knowing my weight. I had a feeling I was around 260, I finally bought another scale and I'm actually at 274.4 yesterday and 273.6 today. I am trying to change my start weight because I want to do this right and really, truly track my progress. I don't know how much I lost last week but I feel like my clothes are more comfortable.
Question: Does anyone know how to change the start weight without it looking like I gained 15lbs in a week when I actually lost?
