It's really hard to lose weight in the summer. So many more social gatherings and every one of them has food, alcohol, or both. I can avoid the alcohol with no problem...still working on the food. I had some friends over to watch a movie last night. It got late, and we started snacking. I had enough will power to choose only diet-friendly snacks, but since I was eating at 10:30pm it obviously wasn't truly diet-friendly. I guess the best way to see this is...At least I didn't gain any weight. Today will be better!

So, I got sidetracked last night. Not sure why I was craving this, but we ended up going out for supper to the local chinese buffet. It tasted better than I remembered. I don't regret going, and I'm not beating myself up about it. That's really the only way for me to go, otherwise I'd just give up.
If we wallow in our own self-pity because we cheated for one meal, imagine how long it would take to get back to losing weight.
So, instead, I came home drank the rest of my water and cranberry juice for the day, had my fat-flush cocktail, and got a good night of sleep. And that pound and a half that I gained back...I know it'll be gone again soon, as long as I continue to follow my diet the right way.

YIPPEE...I made it throught the 1st week with only a couple small detours. I'm now walking pretty much everyday. I feel great!
