Hi,
My name is Joe. I'm 44 years old and a first grade teacher. I have struggled with weight my whole life. I've lost, gained, lost, and gained again! It's super depressing. Well, here I am again. I've followed just about every plan there is out there except the rice diet. I've been very successful with all programs. Unfortunately I always fall off the wagon and go back to processed foods. Then BAM! The weight returns. My goal is to get back to 220 lbs. That's a start. I've lost 11ish pounds thus far in 3 weeks. I'm eating real food for the most part and it is working well. I would have to say my diet is more low carb and low processed foods. No white stuff either (except for the occasional low carb wrap for lunch of breakfast. I'm staying away from pastas, potatoes, rice, cereals, high sugar fruits, and flours (except the aforementioned wraps :). I feel this is way more sustainable than other programs I followed. I did really well on juicing and lost 90lbs. Of which I eventually gained back 66lbs of uhhhhhh! Anyway, that is where I am right now. I like that I never feel hungry even though I'm eating around 1700 cals a day. Thus far I'm losing weight. I've met my 30 day goal of 10lbs already. Time to reset my goal and go for it. It's a long road back to the clothes in my closet. However, I don't want to just give up. I tell my kids to never give up, so I need to practice what I preach.
