Today was a fabulous food day. I typically get to sleep in on Saturday so I end up skipping a meal which means I can have a little bit more calories on the meals I do eat. I had a fantastic omelet this morning with steak, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. Yummy!!

Tonight I was particularly excited for dinner. My daughter has a friend over so we we cooked Mini Pizza'a. We made them with Pillsbury Grands Homestyle biscuits. They were really tasty. It had been forever since I'd had pizza so I was ready for it. Each pizza was about 250 calories and I had one and a half with a salad.

I was shocked by my weight this morning when I jumped on the scale. This is another reason for me to not weigh myself every morning. I put my scales in my closet so that it isn't a constant reminder. It's hard to imagine that soon (so very soon) I will be back in the 170's. I haven't been that thin in about 3-4 years (maybe even more).

Sometimes it seems like this weight loss thing is kicking my tail and at other times I think it's the other way around. This week, I kicked it's arse.

Changes I have noticed;

1. My collar bones continue to become defined. I haven't seen those suckers in about a year or so.

2. My cheek bones also continue to become more defined. I hadn't realized they were gone until they started showing up again.

3. The roll of fat in my arm pit is gone. It is still "chunky" but there isn't a roll anymore.

4. My back fat is slowly starting to go away. I'm very excited about this one.

5. I don't have angry red marks from my pants.

6. I fit into a size 12 pair of slacks this week.

Another side effect is that my husband is starting to come to the gym more with me which is nice. I think he might have seen my progress and decided he didn't want to be left behind.. I dunno

On another note... I'm thinking it may be time for me to stop weighing myself everyday. I've found myself weighing myself several times a day. It's like I don't even think about it, I just hope on the scale for no reason. I'm comfortable with my eating and exercise habits and my knowledge that I don't believe it is necessary to track daily. I'm going to start not weighing myself every morning next week.

So, I realized just a few minutes ago that I went over on my daily calories. I forgot to log a few items on dinner. I was trying to go over because my stomach was so upset I was trying to um... push things down so to speak. It worked and my stomach feels SO much better today. (However, I do not recommend taking a laxative at 9:30 at night, I don't care how much the label professes the meds to be gentle).

This morning I actually saw a loss on the scale which tells me I may need to make sure I'm getting enough fiber. I realized through my anguish yesterday that it had probably been about 5-6 days since umm.. well, ya know. I've always had issues with going regularly so maybe I will bring this up to a doc (whenever I get in to see one).

Additionally it is about a 10 days before TOM. I need to remember to record my fluctuation this time because I was looking for it last month and realized I didn't note it.

OH!

I forgot! I registered for a 5k! This isn't really a big deal because I was walking a 5k five nights a week when I started trying to lose weight. I'm excited though because I will be doing this with a friend who has lost 82 pounds (so far) just by committing to healthier eating and exercise habits. I'm so proud of him and want to support him. The walk is Walk From Obesity so I know it is near and dear to him. I also have many family members who are obese so I'm behind the cause.

Realized on my way home from work this morning (daughter got sick so I had to leave early) that the slacks I put on this morning are a size 14. Which means I'm down a pant size!!! Yay!!!

I hadn't worn those slacks in about 8-9 months. The shirt that I wore today, I haven't worn in about 2 years because of back fat. Super exciting changes!
