It's difficult to enter food when it is your recipe. But for lunch I made egg salad with avacado and olive oil mayo (1 tbs) and added Himilayian salt and fenugreek seed powder. Instead of bread I used romaine leaves. I also added olives. My favorite growing up was egg salad with olives in it!

Found out from Jorge Cruise that the Cruise Control Challenge, which begins on 8/13, is not a keto diet per se, but along the same lines and less restrictive. Won't get details until Friday. Thinking all along that it was keto, I prepared myself and began keto on Saturday, 8/4. I have lost 6 pounds in 3 days! Yesterday I lost one pound. I feel good, no cravings, and really sticking with the keto macros or pretty close to it. I am anxious to see the challenge as it gets underway 8/13 and goes for 8 weeks. Meanwhile, I will begin a strengthening regimen. There is so much to understand: ketone supplements, collagen, etc.

Second day on Keto. In actuality in two days I have probably lost 5 pounds.

So, I began the Keto diet yesterday and I should have weighed myself but didn't. I weighed myself about a week ago and it was 180. Today 176.4. So, the weight on 7/8 was 177.4 and I would say my one-day loss is about 2-3 pounds. The one thing I find hard to do is drinking enough water. I had about 50 oz. of water yesterday. I begin Jorge Cruise's "Cruise Control Challenge" on 8/13, which runs 8 weeks. I am not extremely overweight and my goal is 160. If I reach that then I will push for 150 lb. ideal weight for my age and height.

Beginning 8/13 I will be participating in Jorge Cruise's Challenge, which I am guessing is the Keto diet. I have used his Belly Fat Cure and The 100, but he does not have a book on this. According to the blog it appears to be Keto. If any of you are following Keto, I would appreciate any advice. I am beginning on my own today and have a couple books. One that I like is The Keto Reset Diet: Reboot Your Metabolism in 21 Dats and Burn Fat Forever by Mark Sisson. It is really good as it explains the science behind it, unlike we have been doing through all the diet fads!
