Went shopping for an ordination outfit...HATED IT (in my "In Living Color - Men on Film" Voice).
Every suit I tried on I looked frumpy and like a round ball draped with black fabric. I'm not in the best of moods right now, and what should be fuel to keep me going in the right direction only pisses me off more and makes me feel depressed.
Why so mad? Because I hate that I have had to fight this my entire life.
But I didn't blow my calories, and although it's late and I'm normally doing my houseclean routine at this time I will try to get in at least 2 miles before I go to bed. I don't know what to do about my mood right now, it's pretty much the only thing I can change and I don't know how to.

Day 8 of the 100 mile challenge...5 more miles done, total of 20.2 miles completed.
I had a small victory today. At work at a church and people are constantly bringing us food. Today was one of those days, this woman who is a GREAT cook (this isn't her first food drop-off) brought in chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, rice, and bread pudding. Right after I just ate my lunch of chicken noodle soup. I didn't eat it...and it wasn't that much of a struggle either. I feel good making good choices. If I was tired and hungry though, it would have been a different story. So the game plan for me is to stay prepared with my own food that I know the calorie count for sure.
October is Pastor Appreciation month, which means we will have at least 4 luncheons at work, a luncheon means a feast one day and leftovers the next day. I'll have to deal with that when it comes, because the cooks who cook for us certainly are not keeping health in mind!
I'm being ordained in 2 weeks and I need to go buy a suit this week. I'm on a budget and I want to look good. It's not going to be easy in my current size and I'm dreading shopping. :o( I'm praying that the right suit that makes me look fly in my current size in the right price will be waiting for me! Pray with me!!!

Week 1 of following doctors orders 98%. I say only 98% because on Saturday I allowed myself a "no count day" where I didn't count my calories and ate what I wanted. I didn't eat very much but what I ate had pretty much no health value at all, needless to say I was sick to my stomach all Saturday night going into Sunday morning. I won't be doing that again.
I weighed myself this morning and I haven't lost nor gained a pound. Frustrating because I did what I was supposed to do except for Saturday. I'm not going to have a cheat day this week and see how much Saturday through me off my goals next Monday.
I'm a mix of disappointed and content. My ultimate goal is to change my life and be healthier, making this my life and not just a diet to follow. I did that this week other than Saturday. As a matter of fact, I only ate up to the calorie limit assigned to me by my doctor only 2 out of the 6 days, the other days I stayed about 100 - 150 under because I felt that I would need a cushion for Saturday.
I walked 5 times this week, which is more than I have done in a while. So next weeks goals are....
Stay under my calories for seven consecutive days.
Stay under 40 g of fat for seven consecutive days.
Find out how much water I'm supposed to be drinking and drink it.
Complete my 20 miles this week.
Let's go!!!
