It's been a crazy two weeks...I checked in with my Dr and I lost 2 lbs...so now it's time to go down in my calories again. He started me at 1600 which was very doable for me, now we are down to 1400. Let's just say my first week that was out the window with rushing around and my parents here visiting (we ate nothing but fatty food all weekend). Although I was watchful, I wasn't measuring my intake like I normally do. Today I'm back to measuring.

Also, I went back to the gym after months of being away. Walking outdoors was nice to relax, but my body needs more. I slept sooo much better the night after I went to the gym (I normally have very restless sleep). I'm looking forward to doing more. I start with 20 minutes of cardio a mix of fast walking and jogging, then I go to work with the weights. I am prepping for my surgery in February so I need to build muscle now so I don't look like a saggy old lady by this time next year.

All in all, the new life is going okay. I find that when I cook I reach to make things low cal, low fat, low sugar. Peppers have become my new best friend in boosting flavor. Although I miss hot bread and butter, the problem is I can't just have a little bit to satisfy a craving (I will go crazy and eat a whole baguette on my own) so I need to cut it off cold turkey.
