Ugh, I am hating having to turn to take out food so much but with my arm like this, and being the main cook in my household, that's not very much I can do. . .so annoying. . .

Ulnar nerve entrapment is not fun, not a damn bit. It happened 5 days ago and, being as I am with a bit of medical knowledge myself, I tried all the non-surgical things a doctor would tell you to try anyways. Taking anti-inflammatory meds (Simple ibuprofen is actually a pretty strong one in the right doses), nerve gliding exercises, immobilization with the arm mostly straight. . . yeeeea, they didn't work. The only other non-surgical option is steroids, which I got prescribed along with some norco for pain (because a trapped nerve hurts like a bitch!) on Saturday and there is still no improvement, in fact I'm rather sure it's getting worse. I've lost most of the fine motor control in my right hand, my grip strength is currently a joke, I can hardly tell where my pinky and ring finger on the right hand are and this trapped nerve sends shocks of pain down my arm from time to time.
It sucks, and that's not the worst part of it. If I do need surgery to correct it, which is rather likely at this point, then my arm is gonna be useless for the next 4-6 weeks. Sooo not looking forward to that.

So, again with the weight gain. Another three pounds. . .yet, again, I've lost another inch. I also got my body fat percentage measured and I've lost another 2% of my body fat. Considering that, I KNOW that weight gain is not fat at all. That number on the scale is starting to mean less and less as this continues because there is obvious improvement in my body shape and fat percentages as well as improvement in my health and energy levels.

gaining 3.0 lb a week

So then, I'm actually gaining weight but I've lost an inch and a half on my waist in the last two weeks and lost some of my body fat percentage. My size 46 pants, which fit a bit tightly when I first got them three weeks ago sorta feel like they want to fall off of me now so even though that number on the scale is going up I know I'm losing fat. I've also been a bit more active lately. I'm pretty sure that weight gain is muscle gain really. Still I want to get back down to 170 but I don't want to scuff the muscle mass being gained. It's a lot healthier than just dropping weight and becoming a twig again.
The illness keeps telling me that any gain is a horrid thing but I know better, that's just old Ana being a bitch like normal.
