I am a mother of 3, go to college, want to lose a lot of weight, but no pressure, I don't weigh myself everyday. I weight train, walk, yoga, pilates. I found this sight through a friend at a gym and is a wonderful tool to express myself, encourage others, get great advice, and get free support to continue on my path to a healthier lifestyle. I don't believe in diets, I believe in an all around making healthier eating choices and to have a all around balanced life. I am a work in progress and it's ok when I make mistakes.

Hi to all:
Well, it's been awhile since I posted something on this site, but I will make an effort once again. What I mean for SSFF is cut down on Sugar Salt Flour and Fried Foods. I know I know the fun stuff. If you substitute one item a day to a healthy option you are on the right track of changing your bad unhealthy eating habits. My worst times are from 8-10 p.m. I try to drink a big glass of water to feel full before bedtime. Much success and good luck to allSmileLinda

Beware of the salt
Hello:

Just wanted to remind you to watch your salt intake. Doctor Oz said on TV that we should not eat more than 2300 mg of salt a day. This is easy to do if you don't keep track. Also, salt is addictive so that's why we keep craving it every day. Too much causes high blood pressure and could lead to heart attacks. Well, take care to all. Linda.

Helping Japan
Hi to all:
I was thinking of ideas of what we all could do to help Japan get food. If we would all cut down on one side dish a day and give the Red Cross 3 cans a week to help Japan get food, I think that would be a great idea. Please let me know what you all think. They really need our help right now. Linda.

14lbs in a week
It's pretty alarming when I hear that someone loses 14 lbs in a week. That doesn't sound healthy or safe to me. I heard Doctors say that it's not healthy to lose more than 3 lbs in a week. People want a crash course and in the end all they do is crash and go back to their old eating habits. Be careful out there. Have your diet recommended by a Doctor or nutritionist. Take care out there. Linda

Success in Weight Loss
Society wants us to be "successful" well, we can use this formula in any part of our lives. You need these 3 things:

1. Confidence-you can do it and don't let others bring you down!!

2. Perseverance - you can set a goal in your weight loss journey!

3. Determination-Determine what you want to look like in a year and take pictures (pictures don't lie)

I hope this encourages all of you in your weight loss journey. Success to me means the attitude you choose to have inside in anything you pursue in life. Much success.

Linda
