Having a good day. Life is better when my food is better. For now, and I’ll accept that. I have often dieted, and something happens, when I feel deprived, I have cravings and constant hunger. I do notice this time that I’m eating almost what I’d normally eat, and actually more fat and carbs than on the last diets I’ve been on, and I haven’t felt that starvation (yet). But I’ve been going good for a week and a half now. Still early. But it is good.

I’m getting my hope back. I’ve gotten off my antidepressants (a couple months now), and in some ways things are worse, and most are better. I am acknowledging that some of my discomfort needs to settle in in order to initiate change. Exercise in and of itself is mood lifting. I’ve been walking a couple times a week, did yoga exactly once (ug…) during the diet, and I know I have to do more of it. I just haven’t. period

Yesterday was just evidence that I need to get into shape. I had to give a sports massage, then a two hour massage, and was just exhausted afterwards. Of course, I was whining about how exhausted I was going to be before, during and after. He was a big guy, and still not convinced that he wasn’t into something more, judging the way he asked about Manual Lymph Drainage. Wow. I didn’t realize that it sounded so dirty before. But he behaved, and then I was just spent the rest of the night. Managed to come home, had a quick dinner (leftovers, on the plan) and collapsed in front of the TV and a book for the rest of the night.

So all the more reason to keep on this plan. I did do a strenuous hour of Yoga before work, and I think it did help to get me through. And even better, there is another Yoga class tonight, as we were out of power one night, and we now need to make it up. I thought there was another one…so that was a nice surprise yesterday.
