Day 156. I Have been watching what I eat and eating less. Have I indulged in a couple of things I haven't in 5 months? Yes. Have I abused it? No. I am still unable to do cardio with my broken foot. However, I am healing at an accelerated rate the doctor says.I understand the habits that got me to 286 pounds now. I understand them very very well and I practice my creed "one day at a time" everyday. I am an emotional overeater and alcohol user. I am learning at 53 years old to grow a thick skin. Since my high BP diagnosis I have cut my alcohol consumption drastically. Anyway, I am only posting now once a week . I have not been good this week or last logging food. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU!! My GOAL for this Holiday? One small portioned plate of food and one small piece of Pecan Pie.

Day 149. Slacking in logging my food this week. For the most part sticking to my plan. 11 weeks to go with this broken foot. Very inconvenient. However, I am still alive and able to lose weight. As the Holiday's come upon us, remember ONE day at a time!! One thing I have learned over the last 5 months is I can eat what I like every once in a while. I just have to practice Portion Control, eat slowly and wait for my body to catch up and tell me it is full.Go ahead and eat one small slice of pie. AND STOP! The ultimate in self control. You can do this ONE DAY AT A TIME!!KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE PRIZE!!Have a great week everyone!

Day 142. Bittersweet victory today!! I hit my 50 pounds LOST!!! WITH the cast on my leg. Went to the doctor . He said my BP is high but not as bad as the hospital said. He put me on meds and said to continue to lose weight. Appointment in 1 month for a complete physical and to check weight loss and BP. So the new "workout" will be all upper body on the crutches. Cardio ! Has anyone really used crutches the right way? GREAT ab and cardio workout!! Eye on the prize everyone!! Adapt and Overcome!! Have a great week everyone!!

Day 141. Life changing event took place on Sunday. I tripped over a dumbbell (let the jokes begin)and broke my right foot. It is a break that is going to take up to 3 months to heal. That wasn't the worst part of it though. While in the emergency room my blood pressure was near and at stroke and heart attack levels. (I have never taken meds for this) That being said I have given up all alcoholic drinks and sodium in and on my foods. I have to see my doctor ASAP. Not good. My next weigh in will include the weight of the boot I cannot take off for at least 2 weeks. Eye on the prize. One day at a time.
