T - 2 days
Last Master Swim this morning until the Ocean Lifeguard Test on Saturday.
Main Set:
x3 - >
400yd base = 6:00
200yd base = 3:00
100yd base = 1:30
I almost was able to do the whole thing. After my 400s I had to take a 50yd break, so I was swimming 150yd. On the last set I only did 100yd for the last two since I wanted to time my 100yd.
The first 400yd I did 5:50.
My last 100yd was 1:28.
Not too shabby. Planning on doing an Ocean swim tonight and maybe some yoga. Time to calm down and mentally prep for the race!
Ocean swim is on for this evening at 5:45pm. I imagine I'll be pushed to swim the full 1000m, which I want to but so far my attempts at swimming 1000m in the Ocean (without stopping) haven't gone so well. But I'll have a full day rest tomorrow before the rest, so mind as well do it.

T - 5 days.
On the final week. Missed swimming yesterday morning. Swam last night and this morning, although I've been really tired. Have not had enough sleep this week yet. Swam a 450m in 8:20 last night (missed the last 50m, should have just swam it). Should probably try another 1000m tonight. Need to start mentally preparing for the Ocean swim. I know I can swim the 1000m without stopping, but so far haven't been able to do that in the Ocean.

swimming pier to pier today about 3000m!
Took about 1 hour 45 minutes. Fastest swimmers do it in 30 - 40 minutes. Patrick swam in 56 minutes. Stopped a bunch of times, but got into a rhythm.
