I Failed to mention how I did it, it may surprise you... well after years of trying different diets & programs that never worked I decided to try it my way so i figured I'd have to start from within myself so I started a journal on my daily intake in the beginning of October 2010 writing down everything I ate not leaving anything out by the end of December it was clear that I was eating what/when I wanted without discipline. Finally without making excuses I accepted myself and all actions that had lead me to point where I was so with a new beginning & fresh start of a new year I made my goals and started my journey counting calories ( calorie counter app on smartphone ) knowing I've never had much success dieting and feeling I had something to prove I set a goal of losing 30 lbs. without exercising Straight up old fashioned discipline...LOL I met that goal mid-march... feeling mentally strong I was gearing up for part 2 EXERCISE!!! When I got broadsided with a staph infection on my leg that I fought for 17 weeks ( April-Aug ) due to poor circulation in my legs ( not fun ) not letting it affect my spirit I used it has fuel to push harder by the end of Aug with 10 visits to the Dr. I passed with a clean bill of health in fact I had lost 80 lbs. With everything working well I decided to keeping going & with the delay change my part 2 goal Exercise!! From 30-100 lbs. Now that I lost 102 lbs. Without exercising I think its time to hit the gym to burn this new found energy... calorie counter, portion control and discipline lots of discipline that's how I did it. No regular pop, basically cut out the sweets I selected one day a week and called it cheat eats... where I could enjoy a reese's peanut buttercup without feeling guilty I had to cause if I didn't I would go crazy and splurge trying to crave my hunger for sweets other then that I still eat anything I want but with counting calories I find myself making healthier choices...
