So I've been away for a while (Almost a year). I discovered that I have a rather serious heart condition (or two). Found out that I have Congestive Heart Failure AND Atrial Fib. They were able to revert my heart back to normal rhythm and it seems to have worked (TWT), but unfortunately they can't do anything about the Congestive Heart Failure. Anyways thought I would try and lose weight again and I loved this website for tracking and journaling my weight lose and it was working last year until the medical issues. So here I go again - here's hoping :)

Ok, I don't know how the heck I did this but according to my scales (which I now think are possessed) I lost 5.4lbs. in 1 week. I weighed myself 3 times to be sure and it kept coming up the same. I haven't changed anything - same diet and exercise routines and usual sleep times... I just don't know??? But hey, they say don't look a gifted horse in the mouth, so I won't... lol
Can't wait to see next weeks weight - probably back up to my usual weight with those possessed scales of mine :)

I went to the doctors 2 days ago for a follow-up on blood work and just found out the reason why I can't lose weight... apparently my thyroid gland is not working right. Doctor says "it's running very slow" but that it can be fixed with pills. Doctor had me do more blood work and I have to go back in 4 weeks to confirm it's the thyroid gland. If so, then pills will probably correct it and I can finally get control over my weight. So I get to spend the next 4 weeks all nerves and worries wondering. Here's hoping it's just a lazy thyroid... :)
