I was previously on the Keto diet(0nly 20 carbs per day). I lost 15 lb the first week and maintained a very strict large calorie deficit. I recorded everything I ate and didn't lose a single pound for three weeks afterward, eating 1300 calories a day or less. I was amazed and very discouraged. However, now I am doing "Warrior Intermittent Fasting" (fasting for 16 hours everyday). I have found that my resistance to weight lose was due to high insulin resistance, but fasting counteracts this. I have been seeing the weight melt off. I am doing this with my father who is a diabetic and he has also been seeing great weight loss. He went yesterday for a check-up. His high blood pressure was now excellent and his blood sugar was perfect! They said he can no longer be considered a diabetic!! Praise God! Intermittent fasting has been a God-send. I am very excited for the future. Getting to the right weight feels very reachable.
I live a paleo lifestyle and do intense HIIT kickbox training.
