It's been since May when I last weighed in and unfortunately, I did not stick to my plan both exercise and nutrition wise. However, I am a bit frustrated now because I have had to pause my conditioning because I have a injured leg muscle, of all muscles to be injured right now. So, I have had to kick my diet in the past week into high gear by going on a 1500 calorie diet. The first day I wasn't able to achieve my goal, but over the past few days, I have stayed less then 1500 calories and in some cases less than 1200 which is my next meal plan goal.

I am not too upset that since May I have only gain 5 lbs, because I was doing a lot of poor habits like not exercising and eating out all summer. But I am determined to be and stay on track with my lifestyle change. so for now, my diet will have to guide me until I get back to working out vigorously.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what kinds of exercises I can do while my quad muscle injury is healing. It's only been 1.5 wks since I injured it, but I did a lot of household chores yesterday and ended up aggravating it.

So I started getting back on track to my weight loss plan of 50 lbs.I started out strong between December and February, but things faded away when I had to much on my plate with graduate school, my fellowship, TAing, and a research job.

I am realistic and I know that I have a ways to go, but I know I can get there with support, dedication, and perseverance. I don't have any more excuses about not having enough time to workout. Right now the only thing on my plate is work, applications, and evening classes on Tuesday and Thursday.

So, I started this journey AGAIN actually on Wednesday, when I started working out on my Wii with EA Active and then yesterday I joined LA Fitness. I am really excited and ready to make the necessary changes that will improve my body, my mind, and my overall health and well-being.

I know there will be times when I will get discouraged, frustrated, and want to give up either because I am not seeing the results fast enough or not seeing them at all. But in these times when I start feeling that way, that is when I will have look deep inside of myself, refocus on my goal and objective, and lean on my support community to help me get though it.

So join me as we take this journey together! So in the the words of Plato,

"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it."
