I don't ever weigh myself. I think I had to type in a weight in order to complete my profile for this website, but the weight is an estimate and I don't plan to weigh in.
I judge my weight by how my clothes fit and how I feel. When I could no longer fit my butt into over half of my jeans, I started the Atkins diet. Before I had started the diet I was addicted to cereal and my meals were not complete without some kind of carb. I used to be stomach growling, on the verge of hangry, starving every 4 hours. I was not going to the gym or had any reason to have a higher than average metabolism. I could not figure out why I was starving every four hours throughout the day.
After about the 3rd week of the Atkins diet, remaining below 25 carbs per day, I FINALLY broke out of these cycles and cravings.
I am happy to report that I am at 5 weeks of dieting (still staying below 30 carbs/day) and I went down a notch in my belt today. My jeans that do fit are fitting more loosely, my jeans that didn't fit I can get my butt into, but still can't zip.
My point is, stay strong, your body will change, and do what feels good for you (don't get so caught up in the numbers).
