Alrighty--now that the sickness is over, travel is done and there are no more reasons I can't start--I started yesterday. Weighed in at 179 so have stayed constant since last weigh in.
So, here we go. I'm feeling the withdrawl from sugar but I'm sticking strong. I did chew a piece of sugar free gum yesterday without thinking, but am really trying to stick to not using any substitutes either to break the sugar cravings. Of course, 'Aunt Flo' on her way so this is another bad week but I can make it without chocolate!

So I'm up a few, but I'm really not surprised. Holiday's were followed by impromptu trip to Las Vegas and then I've been sick for last 5 days upon return.
Good news is I quit smoking a little over a month ago and I think I'm really ok with it! When I was sick I stopped using the patches because they were bothering me so now I'm over a month smoke-free and about 4 days patch free. I may get some of the low level patches or gum or something to use if I have a craving, but right now I'm good. Maybe the gum--that way if I'm in a situation like out with friends where I would normally want to smoke, I can chew the gum instead. I don't know...something. But that is a positive and now I can build on that starting with my weight and health NOW.

Seems the period weight came off. I don't attribute to actual weight loss as I haven't really started yet. I'm eating healthy, but not entirely yet.

I am planning to follow Sonoma Diet Wave 1 for a kickstart, but I'm also reading the Hacker Diet (which is pretty interesting) so it will probably be some combination of the two.
