I have gained SO MUCH FREAKING WEIGHT. I got on a medication that makes me gain, off a medication that makes me loose, and quit smoking. Plus I stress eat and I've been stressed.
Lucky for me my room mate wants to start running. We're using a training app that switches up walking and running with warm-ups and cool downs. I think it's called "5K runner".
Tomorrow we start our program anew. I've got 100 calorie snack packs in my lunch box for the sugar crush, and supportive people around me who want to get healthier too. Also, I'm using this program again to track what I eat, and to help me eat less of the really really bad stuff.
My drive is not to get down to a particular weight, but to become more fit, and trim. Since quitting smoking and running/stretching a little bit I've already begin to see a difference.
So, with a healthy caloric intake, regular exercise, water, sleep, and maybe some suplaments like fish oil and aloe, I'm hoping to get back to a healthier me :D

Recently I have realised that the many many many times I've binged before I've started a new diet, only to drop the new diet after a week or so, has caught up with me. When I look at my stomach in the mirror I see whole pizza's and Styrofoam take out cups full of shakes. I believe that big is beautiful but I also believe in moderation and I have been everything but moderate. I would like to get back to the size where my clothes fit.
I started a new job that requires a lot of physical exorcise, just on the weekends, and I'm doing yard work and landscaping during the week. What I really want to do is go swimming...a lot. Once it gets nice and hot out I'm going the to give myself on day off a week just to play outside and swim.

In the mean time I am taking water with me where ever I go and trying to eat a lot more veggies and salads. I may not get buff but if I can fit back into my normal clothes without holding my breath and sucking in, then I will be happy.

I've been eating a fruit smoothie for lunch and staying away from sugar except for agave nectar. I still need to work out though. Hopefully my new occupation willl assist with that.

How did I loose almost 10 pounds my first week? The trick is to do your first weigh in with all of your clothes on and everything in your pockets that's usually there. Then the next week, go naked to the scale.
I know it's silly, but even though I know it's my clothes, shoes, jacket, wallet, notebook, etc etc that tipped the balance in my favour, it's given me this strange little confidence boost anyway and it makes me want to eat healthier.
Like normally I'd be raiding the fridge for desserts, but now I have sugar free jello pudding in the freezer so I can zip right past the ice cream :D
