Well, I am a 48 year old female, and severely overweight. I have always had weight issues, even as a kid, but as a teen, I slimmed down to 135lbs, and was actually too skinny - my bones stuck out and I didn't look very healthy. I got up to 155lbs, found that is good weight for me, and I stayed there for about 10 years. I started a slow gain again in my mid 20's when I got married, and ended up around 225lbs. But a few years ago, I quit smoking. Two weeks in, I ended up with an injury that kept me immobile for 3 months (from which I never really fully recovered), and I was going through "the change." So three strikes against me, and before I knew it, I was topping the scale at a whopping 350 lbs! Finally, I looked in the mirror and took a good long stare. I could not believe how I let myself go. How did I let this happen? It was time for action.
