I am 53 and have been married to my wonderful husband, Scott for 25 years.
I have been on this weight loss journey for many years, see-sawing weight loss as all my attempts have been unsuccessful to maintain any of them as a life change.
I AM DONE WITH THIS!!!!!
I have a family history of heart disease. I just lost my brother on 4/17/2011 at age 56 to a massive heart attack. I am on cholesterol lowering and high blood pressure meds which I started last year.
Well, I can not be complacent about this anymore!
EXCUSES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!
I WILL NOT ALLOW SABOTAGE!!!!
My biggest challenge still is incorporating more exercise into my life style and learning to enjoy it!
I have struggled to get off the first 20 lbs. I had to decide what was going to be most effective for me and also what I could commit to long term. I am at peace knowing this is a life long journey. Now I find that I am more about clean eating, healthy nutritious foods and finding the right balance of exercise to support continued weight loss.
My journey here on FS so far looks like the yellow brick road in Oz but I keep forging ahead. This is the longest I have stuck with a weight loss plan in my whole life! My mind, body and will to succeed is stronger than ever!!
The weight I remember feeling and looking good at was 160 so I am going to shoot for that. Boy, I have along way to go!!!

*Goal Reached 03/27/2011 - 257 (20 lbs lost)
*Goal Reached 5/1/2011 - Completed a 5k for Foodshare
*Goal Reached 5/29/2011 - Wanted to be 250 by 6/1
*Goal Reached 8/2/2011 - 247 (30 lbs gone!)
