Went to the L.A. County Fair yesterday and today I'm up five pounds, LOL. It's absolutely 100% bloat from the two treats had -- Dippin' Dots ice cream and some Tasti-Chips (potatoes)! It's INSANE how much water my body loves to hold onto when I eat carbohydrates!
I'm totally not sweating it though -- the bloat will dissipate soon enough.
It was so cool though, knowing that since my body's glycogen stores are always nearly at zero due to running off ketones and a very low daily amount of carb intake, that the ice cream and chips would truly just get immediately used for fuel, as opposed to my former over-carbed metabolism just shuffling them off to sit around in my fat cells forever. Instead of crashing out in fatigue after an hour and half after eating the treats, I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and went on to walk alllll day. Nutritional ketosis rocks, man.

Gosh I love whooshes. :D
Also, I've been SO LAZY about logging my food intake here. I haven't been eating any differently or off-plan in any way, I just go through these phases where I just can't be arsed enough to track it but opt to eat intuitively and do a mental tally. Usually the gumption comes back to me eventually.

My bloodwork numbers after seven full months of eating LOW CARB/adequate protein/HIGH FAT and being in a near-constant state of nutritional ketosis:
Total cholesterol: 145
HDL: 60
LDL: 72
vLDL: 19
Triglycerides: 67
Say what you will about LCHF/low-carb, you can't argue with numbers like that.
