having a hard time
diets are just fads and don't work, and I am not one of the 'trolls' you talk about
eating healthy, changing your eating habits is what works in the long run
and the 1 lb per day you may lose, in the beginning, is generally just water weight and not fat weight, that takes time

you don't NEED RDI 1800
the fewer calories you consume the more (quicker) you lose the weight
as long as you consume less than you expend you will lose weight, doesn't matter how you consume those calories, by carbs, sugar, fat etc...makes no difference
the only difference is how healthy you will be in the weight loss journey
