Day 17 - I'm getting rather discouraged. I'm working out for at least 40 mins every other day and mostly keeping under the 2000 calorie count, with not much progress. I need to change things. Protein shakes have worked for me in my 30's. I hope they can jump start my weight loss in my 50's. I also need to turn down eating out and eating outside my preselected meal plan. more water too.

I stayed on plan today. I even got an hour workout in and mowed the lawn. it was a beautiful day. I drove my convertible up the McKenzie Hwy for a long country drive.

Even after a weekend of eating out and going off plan, I managed to loose 3 lbs last week. I attribute my success to splitting restaurant meals, drinking just water with lemon and getting some kind of exercise in each day. I'm back on my plan today. I'm working on losing a solid 10 lbs before going to see my girls next month.
Weigh-in:
222.0 lb
lost so far:
3.0 lb
still to go:
22.0 lb
Diet followed reasonably well

Day 6 and I already need to call today my once a month 'cheat' day. I went off the plan eating out twice today. I'm recommited. I need to let all those around me know what I'm doing so they don't tempt me with foods I should not eat if I want to reach my goal. My daughter turned me onto this app and a caloric counting plan. Hoping that she'll be an accountability partner for me, I'll succeed this time.

Day 4 - Not quite ready or eager to weigh in. staying well below the 2000 caloric intake set by this app. I prefer
being between 1000 - 1500 max. good week to start, starting right after my 58th birthday. 5 days this week I'm walking a large dog as a favor, to be sure to get a workout in. drinking lots of water to keep hydrated in an unusually hot weather system in the NW.
