I am inspired and disappointed all at the same time. I have joined a gym to eliminate excuses and to further my motivation to keep moving and working out. I broke into the 220s last week, got super excited for myself, and then it was over. I am back in the 230s--granted I am at the lower end, but still I am disappointed by this. I have eaten less and worked out more for the past few days, but I feel stuck at 231. I know I hovered around 239-240 for a couple of weeks in January, but I wasn't trying as hard then as I am now. I guess I just feel whiny today. I want instant gratification when I do well with my eating and working out.
ANYWAY
, no matter how defeated I feel right now, I am not giving up! I just hope I don't have a plateau or a "stuck spot" for
every
10lbs. or so that I lose. I know plateaus happen, but I really need them to happen less frequently!!!

1770 consumed 2903 burned = 1133 deficit. I have made my calorie deficit 3 out of 4 days this week so far. I did linger at the ice cream cooler in the grocery store tonight, but I made it out of the store with NO junk or sweets! Right now, I am HUNGRY! I better get to bed before I do something reckless! I am doing well and feeling good!

I am doing really well this week, but I am also waiting for the super amazing drop on the scale to happen. I can't seem to stop getting on the scale every morning, so I am bound to be disappointed sometimes with the minor fluctuations. I know I am doing right, but I still want to see it on the scale.

WOO HOO! YAY YAY YAY! Broke through the 230s and down into the 220s today. I haven't been in the 220s since I got clean and sober almost 8 years ago! I think I "raised the roof" a little bit this morning on the scale. Progress not perfection is the name of the game, and I am making PROGRESS!!!!!
