I'm a Fat Girl. I was the Fat Barista at a downtown Starbucks for a long time. Also the Fat University Student, which I technically still am, but soon it'll be Fat Teacher. Each step of my journey brings me that much closer to just being me... a girl, a (former) barista, a student, a teacher.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I weigh daily, to look for trends and because I find it helps to remind me to stay on plan. I only "weigh in" on Fridays though.

Two dilemmas that are my roadblocks to losing weight. Any help?
I'm currently on a REALLY tight budget too, so I find it's a matter of packing the most punch for my dollar when grocery shopping. I have to stick to $20 a week for food (comes to a little under $3 a day), so I make sure to have eggs, peanut butter, whole grain bread, whatever produce is on special that week (bananas are usually pretty affordable), beans, brown rice, deli meal that's on sale, etc. It takes major creativity, but it can totally happen.
