I am 40. I have 2 awesome teenagers and a very supportive husband. I only started to struggle with weight after having children. Growing up, I wanted to gain weight and barely could. My mom told me that one day I would regret wanting to gain weight…… and boy was she right! I have done 6 week makeover, slim fast, herbal-life, weight watchers, diet pills, and a nutri-system. Not to mention all of the others like 17 day diet, master cleanse, etc. Out of all of those diets the only one I reached my goal with was 6 week makeover. The problem with keeping it off was eating all 6 meals everyday and how boring the meals were. So I gained it all back and then some. That's the story of my post children life….. Up and down! Now that I'm older, I really need to adopt a plan I can live by because its much harder to shed this weight & I would like to just KEEP IT OFF! I am trying Atkins for the first time because my wise doctor told me that the sooner we realize that processed foods, white foods, and sugary foods need to be kicked off the food chart…. the better we will be!
