I had a dinner party to attend to and I did well! Small portions, one glass of wine toward the end so as not to lose my will power. Wine sneaks in that..."All is okay, eat that, life is good, eat some more...and more". So I don't have that pre-meal glass of wine, nor with around desserts. Then afterwards, my husband and I walked a mile. (I joined the 37 days of awesome challenge here). Another little success. I'll take it!

Take this Turkey Day! I am about to walk mile (joined the Walk a mile a day challenge through the holidays). I am snacking on healthy things and I am getting my mind set up to picture eating just small (normal) size portions of the potluck at my friends house. I will NOT be having wine as it weakens me to all the sugary things. So no, not while there will be sooo much food around me. This is my plan, and I hope by the end of the day I will be able to say I was successful. In the meantime, I am so thankful for my amazing husband, and wonderful loving funny friends that I will be spending the day with. I will try to focus on that enjoyment instead of consuming food "enjoyment" than I need.

So there it is, A rose, and CANDY! short backstory: I was having a bad evening - after working 12 hours straight, a gremlin decided to get into my computer to cause a temporary glitch. Well I went insane - lots of WTF and "I hate my life" drama after that. (FYI: I actually really like my life). Anyway, my sweet husband witnessed my temper tantrum, and went out-came back from the store with a single red rose (AWE!!) and a package of sweet tarts. How sweet he is, so I don't dare tell him - I can't have that sugar while I am trying to break my addiction. (He knows, but I think forgot, this is all so new to him). So there is that package. I threw out eggnog last night. And after this stressful day....I am not sure I will win this round. It's still there unopened. hmmm.

Did okay today. Major sugar craving this evening though. It's irritating me - images of crispy cream donuts with strawberry frosting keep bugging my brain. Thank goodness there is no sugar in the house..OHHhew...except...for that eggnog, I just remembered I stupidly agreed to buy it the other day. Lesson being learned. This sugar addiction is sneaky. I'm not sure I can resist that eggnog right now....ohh...ergh...whaa..(sigh)......Okay, I just took a break from this journal entry and ran and poured the eggnog out before I could argue myself out of it. YAY! Problem solved. Still have the cravings but now I can't satisfy it. HA! Take the sugar craving!! I won this round.

While I am doing better, and lost a couple of pounds, I also lost all will-power after two glasses of wine the other day,(which had enough calories on their own!), and then had way too many calories after that. Bleh!
