I made it through my first 2 weeks!!!! I did the diet pretty much faithfully. I did have one day where I ate 2 peppermints. I'm not gonna beat myself up over it because that's still less than what I used to eat. My goal is to be 269 on Christmas Day. I don't care if it's 269.9, I'll take it!!!

Today is day #6 for me and I haven't cheated. The Atkins diet seems to work well for me because I don't have to count calories or points. I have already had two people to tell me that I look smaller. If I'm getting compliments on day #6, I can't wait to see how many compliments I get on day #26 (which is Christmas Day). For every 5 pounds I lose, I'm gonna buy myself something. I have lost a little over my first 5 pounds so I ordered me a Juicy Couture Tracksuit in a 2x instead of a 3x. I don't plan wearing size 3x again!!

I decided to change to the Atkins diet because with me having the first stages of diabetes, cutting out carbs will help me. I changed to the Atkins diet on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. I am anxious to see how much I will lose by Christmas Day.
