It's been almost 3 months since I weighed in here. I wasn't watching. I started again a week ago when I got on the scales and saw that I had gained 10 lbs. 228! Now I'm 221.6. So it's a start. My next goal is 195. I've been eating a lot of fresh fruit, cottage cheese...I love salads. That's one reason that summer is my favorite time of the year. There's a Farmer's Market half a block from me every Friday. I walk to it so I get some exercise (not an easy thing when my knees and hips are going). Last time, I bought plums and blueberries. They didn't have a lot and were very busy so I went to Giant Eagle and bought strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, cauliflower, cucumbers, and red and green peppers. I like to mix a little fat-free mayo in tuna and eat it with the peppers. I like texture. I could never go on a liquid diet. I love the crunch too much. 😄 I still feel like I can get to this. It may take me awhile but I'm in no hurry. My mantra.... "I don't need to be skinny, just healthier." 😉

Down 2.6 lbs. since last weighin. I had stopped watching and gained back almost 10 lbs. I'd gotten to 222.8! I have to get back at it. I've been tracking for the last 3 days and drinking lots of water, which I hadn't been doing for several days. I can feel the difference. Hubby and I went out for lunch yesterday at Arby's. Instead of the usual roast beef and curly fries, I had the salad. It was ok but the fat in the honey mustard dressing was ridiculous...16 grams of fat! I like the lowfat honey mustard I have here at home much better. We went to the grocery store, too. I wanted some fresh produce...cucumbers, yams, sweet onions, zucchini, and I bought a turnip....lol. I wanted to try Hungry Girl's turnip fries. I like the zucchini and carrot fries. I've gotten several of her cookbooks and both issues of her new magazine. I don't remember if I had said that I bought powdered peanut butter. It has much less fat and sodium in it. Yes, it's a little more expensive than prepared peanut butter but I'd rather have less sodium. And at least I'm back at it again. I'd still like to lose another 50 lbs. That would be 110 total. I've said it before, I don't want to be skinny, just healthier. 😊
