I was always thin until I had my son 16 years ago. Since then I have been between 50 and 70 lbs overweight. Protein diets seemed to work best for me but I always seem to struggle with wanting carbs as I am a pasta, bread and potato chip junkie. I get fairly close to what I want to weight, most recently I was only 15 lbs from goal. But stress, life and now some recently diagnosed medical conditions (a thyroid issue caused by my pregancy with my son and a vitamin D defficiency) all seem to cause me to go in the other direction. So here I am trying to get myself on the right track!
