I'd been yo-yoing between 212-214lbs and finally hit 210. I fluxed up one pound yesterday but I'm not worried. I've been pulling up my pants for over a week so I figure I'm steadying out at 210. Twords the end of moms visit I pooped out on my steps the last three days. I should have stayed strong but I wasn't on my normal schedule and it was just weird. I decided not to beat myself up about it and just clocked in 5k each of the last three days. I will come at working with my schedule when mom comes up next. Mom not running ANY kind of schedule and me needing to be on one makes it difficult for me. It would benefit her to be on my schedule but she wants things her way for her. That's ok to a degree it just makes it hard to take care of myself when that's the space I'm operating in. I also recognize that I need to get out of that mind set. It's my body my time and I'm not asking anyone to do anything that would harm themselves so why am I harming myself by derailing from my health? SMH. Anyways I don't like feeling like I'm trying to blame someone else for my failures so I'm going to just stick to my schedule no matter what and see how that goes. I will be kind about it but I will be about it.

Sugars are going back down to fast levels. 124 today. Getting back to eathing on time and not late late late for everything. I like it. Now that I'm at 210 I want to focus on losing ten pounds then see where I need to take it from there. I GOT THIS. GO TEAM!.

So from 222lbs which was my highest weight that I started out at before being half assed to being consistent, I have warbled between 212lbs to 214lbs. This morning I weighed in at 212lbs (again and I'm hoping this is where I settle before I push for more weight loss. Ten pounds is good. I need to lose and maintain a lower weight but I'm happy with my slow steady progress so far.

My really big excitement is the lowering of my slow acting insulin. I was at 20 CC's and now I am down to 10 CC's. Because my glucose levels have been hitting fast before bed I've been popping glucose tabs before bed every night for the past three nights. Tonight I'm lowering the insulin to 5 CC's and see how I do with that. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm good to go with 5 cc's but we'll see. I will do that for three days worth of morning fast readings and go from there.

Even before weight loss my main goal is to work off the insulin and be consistent with my steps. I just finished steppin for the day and I'm a little over the 10k mark. Once I get my glucose levels stabilized with walking and no insulin at night I will start focusing on upping my daily steps to 20K. Fall and winter are coming but I've decided to stop being a puss and just walk it out in the early a.m. at Walmart. I figure I can have my husband drop me off on his way to work and I can walk it out there then walk or bus home depending on the weather. I'm kinda excited about that.

I need to schedule a 2month followup/check in with my doctor so I better go do that. Also write my doc with a check in status. I don't know why I'm so motivated but I am.

For the most part I've been following my EVOLUTION way of eating. I strayed with one beer and half of a large tortilla. I could have passed on the tortilla but I wanted to see how it would affect my sugars and the beer is basically bread. So instead of a 97 for a morning fast meeting I had 130 this morning. Not good but it was a lot lower than I was expecting. I shared this info with my husband for educational purposes. He's very supportive of me getting my health together and he is also open to learning about my eating and why I do what I do (or don't do) I have a habit of keeping all my thoughts to myself so I'm working on changing that. Now he sees just that small bit of those types of carbs and how they affect me and that's WITH over 12k steps yesterday (I am so happy that I went over my 10k) So yeah it's a learning curve and I feel confident that I will get back to fast levels tomorrow morning.

I also now know that as much as I love dark beer I can't have that either. That's ok I'm not die hard on the beer - I usually only have a beer maybe once a month - more like every few months. So no biggie for stopping that consumption.

I was happy to see my weight still going down. I've been losing about a pound a day roughly. Even with yesterdays beer and tortilla I lost weight. So GOOD. I'm hoping to keep this up for a while. My first immediate weight loss goal is to reach 200 lbs. Once I reach that I will reset my weight goal to be 180 lbs but one step at a time.

After posting this I'm going to put on my walking shoes and see about getting in the 10k steps I need to get in today. I like doing this first thing in the morning or as soon as possible so that any other steps I do during the day are super bonus steps <3

I was going to post about this on my FB page but decided to keep all my thoughts here. Getting to where I want to be health and weight wise is more important than pats on the head. Also once I get to where I want to be I can post "current" pics of myself to share with family and friends and I'd rather do that with a report of excellent blood-work. Anyone can lose a pound here or there. I want solid consistent staying results. I will do this.

Haven't been on this website in forever. I'm on a few other sites but only need to track my weight loss so I think this is the best site for me for right now.

I was up at 222 about a month ago and I've been fluctuating between 214-216. I'm rebooting and reading Dr.Grundy's Diet Evolution and I'm starting the first two weeks. Basically all lean meats and veggies. No grains, breads, refined flours, refined sugars or fruits. Sounds sparse but really isn't. The challenge is letting go of the bad eating habits.

This will reset my system and get me back on track with my glucose levels. I'm type two diabetic and at one point on this program I was in controlled diabetic glucose levels and I was weaning off my medications. I need to get back there and wean off of everything.

So I decided to start today. I also have a 10K steps per day requirement and I finally - FINALLY did that. I was hovering between 6K-8K the past week or so but today I just did it. I'm thinking I need to pick a dedicated time and get it done all in one chunk - like early morning a.m. then do a short walk after each meal as bonus steps.

So this is my check in for my reboot.
