New try at dieting, new journal entry. My name is Crystal and I'm a happily married mother of 3, 34 years old, currently attending college and majoring in Psychology. When I met my husband Chris I weighed 160lbs., which I got down to during a divorce (anxiety). Since I met Chris, I have put on some weight, but the majority of it piled on when I quit smoking a year and a half ago. Since I quit, I constantly crave sweets and find myself unable to deny those cravings. Now I weigh 221 lbs. and I feel horrible. I need to lose weight but I have trouble finding motivation or support. It's really hard to diet when my husband eats sweets all the time and I have kids. I have to find the willpower that I had when I quit smoking. Now with my father just passing away recently from cancer, my depression is making it hard for me to stick to anything I try to do. I found a diet buddy and I am trying very hard to maintain my desire to lose weight and feel good about the way I look again. Wish me luck!

I haven't been following any specific diet lately because I have tons of stuff going on in my life right now, and dieting is the last thing on my list. I have gone back on Atkins, since that is the only diet that has worked for me, but I can't stick to it fully because of financial restraints. I am doing the best I can, and I try to look at it as "At least I'm not GAINING any weight" lol. Everything will calm down again soon, and I will be able to get back on track.
